Scottish Sea Farms has won not one but two awards at last night's Crown Estate Scottish Salmon Farm Awards. The company is delighted to be taking home the awards for 'Salmon Farming Company of the Year (medium/large)' and 'Best Export Business.'
To impress the judges and confirm why it should be selected as salmon farming company of the year, Scottish Sea Farms had to demonstrate its efficiency and sustainability, providing evidence of excellent customer relationships and working practices. The company also had to show how it maintains and improves its quality assurance processes.
To take the best export business title, the company had to demonstrate the highest level of commercial success, providing evidence of outstanding results and taking account of sustainability.
The awards, which celebrate the success of an industry that is vitally important to Scotland and its rural communities, were made at a ceremony and dinner at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness.
Accepting the two prestigious accolades, Scottish Sea Farms' managing director, Jim Gallagher, said: "We are delighted to have been recognised as salmon farming company of the year for the second year running.
"The commitment, dedication and pride of our people make us who we are. The awards last night are recognition of the team's hard work and continued desire to produce and deliver the best quality Scottish salmon.
"Engaging with our loyal quality conscious customers allows us to further develop a sustainable business."
